Tokyo Day #1

Hi folks, Mr. Smith here....

I know it is way more interesting to hear from the students, so I'll keep it brief. I just wanted to share a few photos of our first day in Tokyo..

We flew over the Yukon on the way there...

First morning, walking through Tokyo
Getting on a very crowded subway!

Woodblock printing at the Edo museum.
Outside the Edo museum

During a shoping trip, Mrs. Owen and I found a shrine.

Mrs. Owen found time to get her groove on.

We then took a trip to the Medji shrine.

The inside of the shrine - very peaceful.

We finished up the day having an all-you-can-eat buffet dinner on the 15th floor in downtown Tokyo.
And we established a new trip rule, which is why Mrs. Owen and Julia look so fetching in these sunglasses.

This morning we're heading to a science museum and a Bhuddist temple this afternoon.

Oh, and Gavin tried fermented soy beans this morning. He didn't like it and we have photos to prove it. More to come...
